Jim Benson

I retired in 2009. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a degree in Fine Arts. My emphasis in college was pottery. Trying to throw pots in an unheated garage in Minnesota didn’t sound too appealing so I took up working with wood when I retired. To me the process of making something from a lump of clay is very similiar to making something from a piece of wood. My mission in making cooking utensils is to make something that is as much a pleasure to look at and touch as it is to use.
